Featured Flower of the Week: Ranunculus
Botanical name: Ranunculaceae
Botanical facts: from the Latin word rana for frog. A reference to the fact that many wild species were found in wet areas.
This week at The White Orchid, we are featuring an excitingly, fresh flower called Ranunculus. Also called Persian Buttercups, these small, showy, multi-petaled, bowl-shaped flowers are beautiful perennials. Petals as delicate and thin as crepe paper, these wonderfully artistic flowers, look like something right out of a book. Attractive Ranunculus is beautiful whether in a garden or cut fresh in any container. With dark centers and bold colored petals, they scream fun and artistic. Ranunculus’s are available for most fall events, weddings, parties, etc. and make any occasion bright and cheerful.
